Black + Leather

TOP: Splendid // SKIRT: WhoWhatWear // HEELS: Sam Edelman (similar) // CLUTCH: old (similar) // NECKLACE: Accessory Jane (similar & similar) // WATCH: Rado (similar)

There is something about black on black that seems so classic to me. When I saw this turtleneck at Nordstrom I knew I wanted to pair it with black bottoms. This faux leather skirt was the perfecttttt way to make this look a little more chic and not so boring. The texture of this skirt looks just like the real deal and for only $33 bucks, I couldn't pass it up! I mean, c'mon - it's so freakin' cute and super soft! Because of my recent obsession with cheetah/leopard-prints, I naturally went for my leopard-print heels (Oh, speaking of cheetah prints- can we talk about how adorable this sole society clutch is? I need to order it asap....). The print of these heels added some edge, while the necklace kept the outfit a bit more feminine.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day, friends!

V-Neck Bell Sleeve Maroon Dress

DRESS: Nordstrom // HEELS: Steve Madden // PURSE: Rebecca Minkoff // EARRINGS: Baublebar

Happy Tuesday loves!
So, two weeks ago Amy and I were invited to a local Kansas City event at Park Place- to mingle, eat delicious food, and watch presentations on holiday trends this year- and what specific stores will be selling at this shopping area. (You should totally check it out if you're in the area- we love Park Place! It's right by 'Town Center' and super close to the new Restoration Hardware!) We had such a great time and it was fun to start thinking about the holidays and what gifts to buy and give! If you follow us on snapchat (@simplyduostyle) then you saw that I wore this dress to the event! It's so simple- with a v-neck, bell-sleeves, and super soft material- making it the comfiest dress I own at the moment! Did I mention it comes in a light navy/grey color too?! So cute! And it's only $52! Which in my books, is so worth it, because I could basically wear this dress to sleep (it's that comfy)- and every single day, if that was acceptable ;)

Embroidered Minidress For Fall

DRESS: Free People (wearing XS) // BOOTIES: Lucky Brand // PURSE: Chanel (similar - 30% off with code: FALL16) // WATCH: Fossil // EARRINGS: BaubleBar

Happy Monday friends!

Each Fall, we all search for that perfect dress! You know- the one you can wear to a party, work, or throw on with flats for brunch with your girlfriends. Well, this is the dress for me! I found this embroidered minidress at Nordstrom a few weeks ago, and knew it would be perfect to wear into and throughout Fall! I love the feminine details with the bell-sleeves and the loose/flowy fit. I kept the overall look simple, and paired it with a pair of booties and gold jewelry, but I've also worn it with OTK boots and lace-up flats!

I got these Lucky Brand booties from Nordstrom's semi-annual sale and I'm SO excited to able to wear them everyday now that the weather is finally in the 70's! I love the color of these booties and the heel height is practical for a day on your feet. They are seriously so comfortable! Get them before they sell out again! They run true to size!

I'm also eyeing these pair of Jessica Simpson's booties in dark midnight suede! The color is gorgeous and its under $100!! *heart eyes*

Paisley Bell-Sleeved Dress

DRESS: Nordstrom // WEDGES: Nordstrom // PURSE: Rebecca Minkoff // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // WATCH: Fossil

Happy Thursday!
Hope you're having a great week so far! Yesterday, when I came home I had a letter in the mail from my sweet grandma telling me how proud she was of me and my accomplishments...and it made me realize 1) grandparents are the actual best 2) when did we all stop writing letters?! Yes, I love a nice, encouraging text as much as the next person because of it's immediate gratification. But there's something special about receiving a simple letter in the mail from someone you care about. It shows you that they took extra time out of their day to let you know they were thinking about you and that you're important to them. Plus, it's nice to get something besides bills in the mail, am I right?! #adultingprobs. Coming to this realization means I need to send more letters "just because".  I know there's faster means to do the same job, but there's something about being surprised and seeing encouragement in writing that could just makes someone's day even better - and in my opinion, is such a simple act of kindness that needs to be brought back!

Also- this dress is SO cute and perfect for Fall that I recently bought it in black too. I can't get enough of flowy dresses with bell-sleeves right now! And the best part is it comes in 5 other colors/prints and is only $48! Shop below!

Red Bell Sleeve Dress

DRESS: Lucy Paris // HEELS: Steve Madden // EARRINGS: BaubleBar // WATCH: Fossil

There's something about a red dresses that makes me feel super "sexy" and this Lucy Paris Bell Sleeve Dress  (only $70) is no exception. I love the exaggerated bell sleeves and the open back! I wore this dress a few weekends back to a wedding reception, and loved how flirty this dress was. The material is soft and wrinkle free (holllaa). This dress would also be perfect to wear to a holiday party with some sparkly heels - yes, I'm super basic and love to wear sparkly things during holiday seasons. I'm eyeing this pair of Jimmy Choo heels - they're so pretty! *heart eyes*

Thanks for stopping by!
