Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts Under $30


At about this time every December I run into the same situation. I have at least one person...okay more like five.....left on my Christmas list who I have no idea what to get for a gift. Christmas shopping can be hard, especially when you are on a tight budget! but it is also kinda fun searching for presents that they might love and need!..."kinda fun"..haha. I searched around the web and found 15+ completely random items under $30 that just might help you get your shopping list done!!Scroll down for more! :)

Bp. Stripe Chunky Knit Beanie - Can we all agree that beanies are the #trend this winter? This one is super soft and cute! 
Faux Leather Tote - Comes in 3 colors and is on sale for $28! 
Stoned iPhone Case - You can't go wrong with a white marble stoned iphone case for that one #basic friend...(guilty - had one myself! haha)  
Portable Charger - Major life saver! Get yourself one while you are at it! 
Round Sunglasses - Looks just like the Celine Sunglasses! 
Hair Coils/Ties - This might look silly, but its seriously the best thing ever! it won't crease or break your hair - I wear it all the time around the house and at work. 
Makeup and Jewelry Storage Case - I'm a major lipstick fanatic and this helps me organize all of them in one place! I used to put all of my lipsticks in 20 different make up bags - it was such a mess! 
White Steamer - Great to pack while you are on the go! I love mine! 
Eye-Shadow Palette - Neutral colored and easy to pack when going out! 
Rose Candle - smells oh, so lovely! 
Red Eye Travel Kit - How cute is this? Great for that one friend who is always on the go!

The weather in Kansas is not looking so great! Its suppose to snow up to 5 inches! I'm really hoping that it won't actually snow since I'm planning on shop til I drop! I haven't crossed anyone off of my Christmas shopping list yet! #majoryikes! and...I suck at driving in the snow...wish me luck everyone!

Holiday Gift Guide: For Him

Another gift guide to share with you all for any special guy in your life! I asked my boyfriend, Nick to help me with it, so you know it's guy-approved! 

1. Shaving kit: it's pretty self-explanatory. Every guy needs one! Even if they don't shave!
2. Flannel or plaid shirt: Nick shops at Express a lot- they have great shirts!
3. Watch: Fossil is my favorite brand- I got one for Nick a few months ago, and I've gotten them in the past for my brothers! They're always great quality, great prices, and have awesome stainless steel or leather options!
4.  Wallet: every guy needs one! 
5. Duffel bag: can use to travel or take to the gym! I also like this Nike duffel!
6. Speakers: Nick has told me that JBL are the best brand of speakers!
7. Toiletry bag: great for toiletries when traveling!
8. Fitbit: perfect for any guy who works out! 
9. Bar set: I gave Nick one and he uses it all the time!
10. Whiskey decanter: perfect for any guy that likes whiskey!
11. Cologne: Nick wears Dolce & Gabbana - "The One" and I don't want him to ever change it, it smells that good! It's my favorite cologne ever!
12. Shoes: Nick has these Calvin Klein boots and I love them- they go with everything he wears!
13. Sweatpants: another necessity in any guys wardrobe!

Holiday Gift Guide: BFF

We have shared our home decor gift guide, beauty & makeup gift guide and hostess gift guide, but today we wanted to share some fun gift ideas for your bffs or just friends! These items starts as low as $10 and then climb to a few more expensive pieces. 

We both have this but first coffee travel-mug and monogram mug and think they're the cutest things ever! I have this pillowcase on my Christmas list, and this over-sized weekender bag is a new addition and I am SO in love with it - I like to pack clutches (like this) in my over-sized bag to keep all of my make-up, passports, credit cards, etc all in one place and it doesn't hurt that it doubles as a going-out bag! 

Two of my go-to gifts to give to my girl friends are these kendra scott necklaces and these kate spade earrings! It's an everyday-wear jewelry that I know they will love and actually wear, it's simple yet delicate, and its not too expensive!...but expensive enough to show that you..."care" haha 

Oh also, this portable charger is the most ah-hhh-mazinggg thing ever! It charges up to 5 battery uses and has 2 plug ins. I use mine all the time, especially when traveling. And this would make a great gift for all the guy bffs in your life! :)

Holiday Gift Guide: Hostess


Okayyy everyone! It's that time of the year again where all of your social media feeds are going to be flooded with gift collages. So I just want to apologize in advance for being a part of that super super annoying bunch (haha) but I sincerely hope you find ours helpful! 

With Thanksgiving coming up this week (2 more days! woahhh!) I thought it would be fun to do a hostess gift guide! My mom taught me a lot of life lessons and one of them is to never show up empty handed! So with that, here are some fun items that I think it would make a fun and fabulous gift!

Holiday Gift Guide: Beauty & Makeup




It's really fun trying new products and even more fun when you find products that you really like and that work! Today I will be sharing some of my (Hannah's too - we are literally two peas in a pod..even when it comes to makeup and beauty swags...haha..) favorite products that I really love! A lot of these products will make a great gift for your girl-friends, mom, aunts, cousins, and of course yourself! ;)

1) Perfume
Chanel Chance: You guys, this perfume is amazing! I'm very picky about scents, but I fell in love with this perfume since college and have been wearing it since! This one is really light - not overpowering, and very clean, but still sexy.
Tory Burch: I got a sample of this awhile back and loved the scent so much that I bought a full sized one too! This one also has a clean and fresh smelling to it - nothing crazy!

2) Blush + Bronzer
Bobbi Brown Blush: I use "nude pink" and "rose" - Nude pink is a great color for summer/spring, and I love using the color Rose during the winter time! This is the best blush I have found, the pigments are amazing and slide right onto your skin!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer: This bronzer is everything!! It's a little on the expensive side, but its wroth every penny! I especially love using this during the winter time - it gives your the perfect sun-kissed glow.

3) Mascara
Better Than Sex: The name of says it all (haha...), but really - you have to try it!
L'Oreal Double Extend: Since my eyes lids covers all most of my eye-lashes (ugh Asian probs), I use a coat or five... of the primer (white side) to help my eyelashes look thicker and longer! You have to try it, whether you are Asian or not...hahah

4) Contour Kit & Brows
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: Trust me on this one - you will be so happy if you get this kit!
Water Proof Brow Color

5) Beauty Blender
Beauty Blender: I consider beauty blender a little expensive considering you have to change them out so often, but I absolutely can not do my makeup without them! Before I discovered BB, I would literally only use my hand to blend in foundation (yeah.....you live and learn ladies....struggles) so this is major "omg moment" for me..haha...

*Tip: dip your BB in water before use - it will blend your makeup even better! This will make a great stocking stuffers! 

6) Brush Cleaning Mat 
Sigma Beauty Brush Cleaning Mat: If you would consider yourself as a "make-up guru" and have a lot of brushes, the Sigma cleaning mat is definitely worth buying!

7) Hair Products
Wet Brush: The only brush that doesn't break my hair!
Hair Therapy Deep Conditioning Hair Wrap: I try to deep condition my hair at least once month depending on how much heat I put into my hair. This hair wrap not only works but also smells ahhhmazingggg! 
Oh, I also use It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product after I wash my hair/ before blow dry. I have been using this product for almost 5 years now and lets just say, it really does create miracles....hahaha...

8) Lipsticks
YSL "Beige Tribute": This is by far my favorite nude color I've tried!
M.A.C "Snob" & "Rouge"
Anastasia Lip Gloss
Chanel "Rouge" Lip Gloss: This was Hannah and I's very first lipstick/gloss "investment". We still laugh about it till this day because of how upset we got after we bought it! We thought we were so dumb for spending $40 dollars on a lipgloss when could have bought 10 jars of pb pretzels.....hahah...but you really do get for what you pay. This gloss is long lasting, creamy - its not try or sticky, and leaves the perfect finish! BUT we also love a good NYX Lipgloss - $4 dollars, yes pleaseeee!

9) Facials
Origins Charcoal Face Mask: Hello clean pores!
Tsubaki Oil Deep Hydration Mask: This mask will do wonders to your skin! It has a great moisturizing effect and will literally make your skin look plump (in a good way) and glowy afterwards. I love taking face masks with me when i'm traveling!
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm: This may seem odd to you at first, but you have to give it a try. It takes off your makeup and adds moisture to your skin at the same time. I swear by this stuff.
Almay Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Pads: Hannah LOVES this stuff! This is what I used too before I switched to the cleaning balm!

10) Natural Glows
Jergens Natural 3 Day Glow
Jergens Glow Foaming Moisturizer
Both of these products are great to use in between spray tans!

11) Clarisonic
Mia Fit: I love love love my Clarisonic! If you are lazy like me, you will love this too! It does all the scrubbing for you! and it really does do a wonderful job of deep cleaning your skin/pores! The Mia fit is great for traveling! The Clarisonic Mia 2 is currently on major sale!! Would highly recommend getting one!

Holiday Gift Guide: Home Decor


Happy Saturday!
The next few Saturdays leading up to Christmas, we will be bringing you *gift guides* to help make shopping for friends and family (and yourself) easier! Our first edition is all about home decor! I moved into a new apartment a few months ago and realized just how much decor and certain pieces make your space feel more home-y, cozy, and inviting. You can shop all my favorite purchases/ideas below! Happy shopping and happy early Holidays!

-marble circular tray (I have this and use it at my coffee bar area to hold mugs!)
-gold rectangular tray (I use this on my coffee table- but can also be used for serving food!)

-Pumpkin Souffle (I have this and it makes my kitchen smell like I'm a phenomenal baker 24/7)
-"Breathe it all in, love it all out" (I have this and it smells ahhh-mazing!)
4. Blankets
-cozy plush throw that comes in multiple colors
5. Jewelry Holders
- this stand sits on my dresser and holds my earrings, rings, and small necklaces!
6. World Map

-the cutest charging dock/holder

-these peonies are fake, but look so real- and can be used in every room in the house
11. Magnolia Crate
-I recently discovered Chip and Joanna and so you better believe this crate is now in my apartment- it's perfect for storing blankets!

-this is on my tv stand as an additional decor piece
